Admin Panel Guide

Everything you need to run surveys on fnm242.com — creating assessments, managing questions, reading results, and controlling who has access. Written for administrators and viewers alike.

01

Overview

The FNM Survey System lets the party create anonymous surveys, collect responses from members, and analyse the aggregated results. The admin panel at fnm242.com/admin is where all of that is managed.

Who can do what

CapabilityViewerAdmin
View analytics & export CSV
Open / close surveys
Create & edit surveys and questions
Generate access codes
Reset answers
Manage team members
Anonymity guarantee. Respondents never enter a name or email. Responses cannot be linked to a person in the system — analytics always show aggregates only.
02

Signing In

  1. Go to fnm242.com/login — or scroll to the bottom of the public site and click ADMIN.
  2. Enter the email address and password given to you by your administrator.
  3. Click Sign in. You'll land on the Surveys page. Your name and role appear at the bottom of the sidebar.
If you see "Invalid email or password", check with your administrator that your account is active and the spelling of your email. Passwords must be at least 8 characters.
03

Managing Surveys

Each survey card shows its title, public URL (fnm242.com/slug), question count, response count, and status.

Statuses & lifecycle

DRAFT not visible to the public — being built    OPEN live and accepting responses    CLOSED hidden from the public, responses frozen

  1. To open a survey: click Open Survey. It appears on the public landing page immediately.
  2. To close it: click Close. Respondents can no longer start or resume it.
  3. To reopen: click Reopen Survey on a closed card. All previous responses are kept.

Setting the public listing order

  1. Hover a survey card and grab the ⋮⋮ handle on the left.
  2. Drag it above or below the other cards and release.
  3. The public landing page instantly lists surveys in this order. Changes are recorded in the Audit Log.

04

Creating a Survey

  1. On the Surveys page click + New Survey. A form card opens.
  2. URL slug — lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only. This becomes the survey's public address: fnm242.com/your-slug. It cannot be changed later, so choose it carefully.
  3. Title — the full survey name shown to respondents (e.g. "Youth Wing Assessment Survey").
  4. Description — one line explaining who the survey is for; shown on the landing card.
  5. IP limit (1–10) — how many completed responses are accepted from the same network connection. The default of 3 balances duplicate protection with shared mobile connections.
  6. Require access codes — flip this toggle on for sensitive surveys. Respondents must then enter a valid single-use 8-character code to begin (see Access Codes section).
  7. Click Create survey. It appears as a DRAFT — build your questions, then open it.
The confidentiality statement shown on a survey's intro page is pre-written. If a new survey needs different wording, contact your system administrator.
05

Building Questions

Open a survey's Build page to manage its sections and questions. Changes take effect immediately for anyone who starts the survey afterwards.

Sections

  1. Each survey is organised into sections (e.g. "The State of the Party"). Click a section's name to rename it inline — click away to save.
  2. + Add section at the bottom creates a new one; the × beside a section's name deletes it with its questions.

Question types

TypeWhat the respondent sees
Single choiceOne answer from a list (Yes / No / Partially, Likert scales, categories).
Multi-selectAny number of options; you can set a maximum ("check up to 5").
Score 1–10A row of numbered buttons with Low/High endpoints.
Rating matrixSeveral statement rows each rated 1–5 — ideal for communications grids.
Short textA single-line written answer.
Long textA multi-line written answer for open feedback.
NumberA numeric input (e.g. "how many meetings were held").

Adding & editing a question

  1. Click + Add question inside the section where it belongs. A "New question" row appears.
  2. Click the row to expand its editor.
  3. Write the prompt (the question itself) and optional help text (a hint shown beneath it).
  4. Pick the type. For choice questions enter the options — one per line. For matrices enter the statement rows the same way.
  5. Use the Required toggle to control whether respondents must answer before moving on. Leave it off for optional questions.
  6. Click Save. Click the row again to collapse it.

Reordering

Drag any question row by its ⋮⋮ handle — drop it in a new position, or drop it into a different section entirely. The survey updates instantly.

Before opening a survey, run through it once on the public page (Open ↗ from its card) to proof-read prompts and confirm the flow feels right.
06

Analytics

The Analytics page is where results come together. Everything is aggregated — no individual is ever identifiable.

Reading the dashboard

PanelWhat it tells you
Stat tilesCompleted responses, in-progress sessions, flagged networks, total questions.
Respondent categoriesHow many responses came from each role (Chairman, Council Member…). Chosen anonymously at the start.
Responses — last 30 daysDaily volume. Red bars mark peak days; hover a bar for its count.
Shared-IP observationsNetworks that submitted more than once. Normal for mobile carriers — investigate only sudden bursts.
Question breakdownsEvery question with its distribution: bar charts for choices and scores, a colour-intensity heatmap for matrices (darker = more responses in that cell, with a green/red average per row), and a quote wall for written answers.

Exporting results

  1. Click Export CSV in the top right.
  2. A spreadsheet downloads — one row per response, one column per question, ready for Excel or Google Sheets. Categories and timestamps included; no personal data, because none exists.

Written answers

Text questions show the first few responses on the quote wall — click View all → to read everything collected for that question.

07

Resetting Answers

Administrators can permanently wipe a survey's responses — useful after a test run or a false start.

  1. On the Analytics page click Reset Answers.
  2. A confirmation dialog shows exactly what will be deleted, including the number of completed responses.
  3. Click Delete all answers to confirm, or Cancel to back out.
Permanent. Deleted answers cannot be recovered. Export the CSV first if there is any chance you'll want the data later. Every reset is recorded in the Audit Log with the administrator's name.
08

Access Codes

For invite-only surveys, respondents must enter a valid 8-character code to begin. Each code works exactly once.

  1. Open the survey's Codes page (the button appears on its card).
  2. Enter how many codes you need (1–500) and click Generate codes.
  3. The new codes appear in a grid — click Copy all to put them on your clipboard, then send them to invited participants however you like (WhatsApp, email, printed slips).
  4. As codes are used they display struck-through. The grid always shows which are still available.
Why codes? They guarantee one response per code while keeping answers anonymous — the system records only that a code was used, never who used it.
09

Team & Roles

Administrators manage who has panel access under Team.

  1. Fill in the new member's name, email, a password of at least 8 characters, and their role.
  2. Click Add member and share the credentials with them privately.
  3. Viewer sees analytics and exports only. Admin can do everything, including managing the team.
  4. Use Make viewer / Make admin to change a role, and Deactivate to suspend access without deleting the account. Reactivate at any time.
You cannot deactivate or demote your own account — that's a safeguard so the party never locks itself out of its own panel.
10

Audit Log

Every administrative action is recorded automatically — who did it, when, and what changed. The log holds the most recent 200 entries and requires no setup.

EntryMeaning
LOGINSomeone signed in to the panel.
UPDATE · status → open/closedA survey was opened, closed or reopened.
REORDER_LISTThe public listing order of surveys changed.
CREATE / DELETESurveys, sections or questions added or removed.
RESET_ANSWERSA survey's responses were permanently deleted.
GENERATE_CODESAccess codes were generated for a survey.
The audit log is the party's institutional memory for the panel — if a question is ever "who changed this?", the answer is here.
